Can’t you feel how easy it is
To die
In phases.

I don’t know If I should be glad or not
when you go offline
before I can hit a ‘send’

We dont expect things from strangers, keep it minimum for acquaintances and so on. Only people we expect a lot of, are those close to us.

So next time someone decides to expect less of you, beware. One day they just might decide to do without you.

I’d rather I disappoint someone a thousand time but not be without expectations thank you very much!

Sometimes I wonder, if its not them that want something from me but me who needs something from these, errant thoughts and hence I dont let them go.

when you looked back to wave that last time

or the first time

or that you never looked back.

Do not remember the twinkle,

of my moist eyes,

when I blinked

Nor when I smiled a mile wide

Or that you dont remember.

Do not remember  me in colors

Gay and bright

Nor in shades of gray and white

Or that am not the one in your bed at night

When you remember me,

Just smile with the twilight

For I want to reside there.

Between lengthening shadows

and bold, brittle  even light.

Waiting to let go

But it is not autumn yet.

And spring sings to my soul.

Is that a reason why am not able to write fiction?

It all started with a Gtalk conversation. A friend, absconding from few weeks, resurfaced with.. I have lost my mobile can you drop me a sms to how this holi sucks. No one to play with since we all are stuck in office. Then it went on to, I am getting out of this rut and can we party?

So it happened. Couple of us met in Forum, did some booze shopping, hit on all the friends to find some “contacts” for bhang and bundled up @ a friend’s place eventually.

Played holi on the terrace until sunset. Took some crazy pictures and started on booze binge. Food and bhang happened. And then I tripped. I am not sure what exactly we discussed all the while but I know that I laughed a lot.

Then we went to terrace to see the full moon wherein two of the boys gave us the best impromptu dance performance till date. That was wow! Full moon, crazy music and crazier dance moves. I dont remember when I had laughed so much. you know the belly aching stomach holdin bent over laugh? yeah it was so awesome.

I cant help wishing  a repeat performance. but I guess it wouldnt be so special if it gets repeated again.

This holi would be added to the bevy of special moments that I always remember.

And it was the best holi ever. Though Holi of 2010 comes close to it.

And cell phones. Why do people expect/want/feel compelled to pick up every call that is made? I refuse to do it. I believe cell phone is a luxury and I’d indulge in it, as and when I feel like. And if its an emergency, too bad. you’d survive without me anyhow.

I know its callous but I refuse to bow down to the tyranny of the ringing phone
